Reported by the Telegraph, Sunday (05/19/2013), meteoroids weighing approximately 88 pounds or 40 pounds that hit the Moon's surface while traveling in space at a speed of 56 thousand mph (mile per hour).
The NASA reveals, for eight years watching the lunar surface, the explosion of the meteoroid is the biggest explosion in the history of the Moon. Even thought, the observer on Earth was lucky to see the light of the explosion when meteoroids hit the Moon with the naked eye.
During the approximately one second, it issued a meteor light like a star luster. Researchers estimate that the meteor blast force equivalent to 5 tons of TNT explosion.
