OBAN a fisherman lost his note outlined a world record after he refused to kill a giant Stingray has been found.

David Griffiths managed to catch a giant Stingray weighing 120 pounds and has a length of 150 metres off the coast at Oban, Scotland on 22 April at 12 pm local time.

Griffiths was ecstatic when the rays managed to bring giant after the attraction for 90 minutes. Scottish fishermen's chance to break the world record.

But the 47-year-old man refused because he did not want to kill the rays with a fish that weighed heavy on the ground.

Griffiths said that he will not kill the fish just for a piece of paper. "I will not kill the fish just for a piece of paper," he said.


Publisher of Sarn, Powys, say that this giant Stingray could be a new record in the United Kingdom, but as a rule the fish must be weighed on the ground.
