University of Al-Qarawiyyin is a perfect example of how Islam combines the spiritual with the education and that Islam is not separate from the affairs of life. This is not just an example of how education and religion join a small corner of the world, but it highlights the honorable role of women in Islamic societies that are aspects of Islam that is often misunderstood.
